Oakville Museum’s historical artifacts and photos can now be explored any time … anywhere.

The digital collections include furnishings, fine arts, tools, costumes and textiles, personal artifacts from the Oakville Museum as well as historical photographs of the community from the town’s Oakville-Trafalgar Archive.

To explore the online collections, visit https://collections.oakville.ca/collections.

Enabled by the Town of Oakville’s new collections management system and driven by a state-of-the-art technology known as e-Museum, the digital collections currently include a few hundred objects and photographs, with more to be added in the coming months. The platform also makes it possible for members of the public and heritage professionals to create an account and select and share their own collection of favourite objects.

Oakville Museum can be visited in person at Erchless Estate, 8 Navy St., and at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, 2302 Bridge Rd.
