5:30 to 7:30pm

Where: Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts

Socials are a wonderful way for you to build relationships with fellow registrars and collections specialists in your area. They are casual, (no sales pitches!) and fun. AND bring your business card, because at every ARCS Social there is a drawing for a free one-year ARCS membership!

Along with our gracious sponsors for the evening, AtelierFAS and Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts, we hope to see you there!

#ARCSConf 2019 Session Previews

Head on over to the ARCS webpage to get a preview of some of the great sessions on offer at our biennial conference in Philadelphia, PA November 7 – 9, 2019.

If you’re starting out in your profession you’ll love the session about Transitioning a Job into a Career and the Emerging Museum Professionals Roundtable.

Looking for new ways to do things? Perhaps the session on Using Business Tools and Strategies to Create Collections Management Processes, or hearing how the Johns Hopkins Archaeological Museum digitized their collections records will give you new insights.

These are just a sampling of the many sessions this year that cover everything from shipping to insurance to planning a move. If you haven’t already done so, register now for #ARCSConf 2019.

Deadline to Submit Les Bénévoles 2019 Site Proposals

As part of the ARCS conference in Philadelphia this year, we will hold a day of volunteerism at local museums for attendees. We are soliciting project proposals for the event, which will take place on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019, prior to the start of the conference.

You can have a day of professional assistance for FREE! That's certainly worth taking the time to write up a proposal, right?  More information about what you need to include in your proposal and what ARCS will provide can be found on our website.
