Get a Peek Behind the Archival Curtain With a Special Program at the New York Transit Museum

If you’ve ever wanted to get a glimpse into the collecting minds behind the objects and archival materials that bring history to life at the New York Transit Museum they have a program that will satisfy your curiosity.
With “Inside the Archives: Collecting Transportation Stories,” the archive and collection staff will be sharing the how, what and why behind the items the museum acquires to illustrate the story of transportation in the city. Participants will also be able to get a glimpse at some recent acquisitions to the collection on view in a current exhibition, titled “What’s Old is New Again: Recent Acquisition.”
The program takes place at the Transit Museum at 99 Schermerhorn Street from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m on Thursday, July 25. Tickets are $10, free for members. For full details and to purchase tickets visit the event page here.
