This session will provide the most up-to-date information that appraisers and collection specialists should know and understand about Charitable Contributions. Discussion points will include proper terminology, when the museums are allowed to comment on value, things appraisers should ask museums, when the clock starts ticking for additional Fractional Interest donations and what date constitute title transfer (the effective date)?  Relevant court cases will be shared as well as the impact of the new tax code. This presentation will include questions about valuation and the IRS that arise frequently within the profession.
