 Health Information survey documented that the conditions in storage are c
 ritical to the health of collection items held in trust by institutions a
 cross the nation. 45% of institutions reported damage due to improper sto
 rage or enclosures in the prior two years alone. With less than 5% of our
  collections on public view\, improvements to storage is one of the most 
 effective means for improving care of our cultural heritage. This webinar
  will focus on choosing appropriate materials for storage that won’t inad
 vertently damage your collections over time. Making wise decisions about 
 products and how they are used in rehousing projects will stretch your bu
 dget to get the most preservation bang for your buck. Rachael will introd
 uce several resources to help with storage organization\, mount design an
 d material choice and invite collaboration from the ARCS community to col
 laboratively grow these resources. \nInstructorRachael Perkins Arenstein 
 is a principal in A.M. Art Conservation\, LLC a NY-based private practice
  with specializations in object conservation and preventive care. She has
  worked at the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem\, Smithsonian National Museum
  of the American Indian\, the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology
 \, and the American Museum of Natural History\, amongst others. Rachael’s
  degree in art conservation is from the University of London. She is Prof
 essional Associate in the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and a
 ctive in several professional organizations including positions as the E-
 editor for the AIC and the Chair of the Integrated Pest Management Workin
