 00-2:00pm ET\nThis webinar with Dorothée King is for everyone who works a
 nd leads in a museum or arts environment and will focus on the well-being
  of staff in the arts/museum field. This session will include short exerc
 ises designed to identify stressors\, develop skills in self-care\, setti
 ng limits/boundaries\, and making everyday decisions that will contribute
  to greater fulfillment\, and possibly result in less burn-out or bore-ou
 t\, at the workplace. King will show how individuals\, when daring to ste
 p out of “giving paths\,” not only develop personally but will also bring
  their open-mindedness to their teams and workplace. \nIn this session\, 
 three aspects will be discussed in detail\, illustrated with examples\, a
 nd offered with self-coaching questions:\n\nLet’s not shy away from “tall

 midst of being overworked or overwhelmed\, juggling too many tasks and no
 t enough hours\, we don't often take time to reflect on ourselves\, what 
 we bring to our work\, and how to be our own best advocates. If you are l
 ooking for a job\, just getting started in the field\, striving to succee
 d at work\, dealing with a career transition\, this practical session wil
 l help you build clarity and confidence as you (re)discover your strength
 s\, passions\, and values\, and communicate them to the world! \nIn this 
 session you will:\n\nGet started on identifying your strengths/skills\, p
 assions\, and values\nStart to translate your strengths\, passions\, and 
 values into “pillars” to help you clarify and  communicate your professio
 nal self at work or in job application materials\nCraft a preliminary act
 ion plan of steps you will take toward building career clarity and confid
 ence.\n\nSpeaker Bios\n\nDorothée King (Ph.D.) is an organization and per
 sonal development specialist in the cultural sector. She writes about con
 temporary artistic practices\, multi-sensory aesthetic experiences\, part
 icipation in the museum\, personal and organizational development. As a s
 peaker\, she gives insights into well-being in cultural institutions. Her
  intelligent speeches and mindfulness interventions are humorous invitati
 ons to creatively shape one's own life and work environment\, to learn fr
 om the arts\, and to engage in dialogue with the world at eye level. Sinc
 e 2000\, she consults cultural institutions and individuals as an educato
 r\, personal and organizational development expert. Currently Dorothée is
  the head of the Arts and Design Education Institute at the University fo
 r Arts and Design in Basel\, Switzerland. Since 2000 she has been working
  globally as a coach\, educator\, and communicator. Among other places sh
 e worked and taught with RISD and the RISD museum / Rhode Island USA\, Ud
 K Berlin\, Haus der Kulturen der Welt / Berlin\, Ars Electronica / Austri
 a\, Kunstuniversität Linz / Austria\, Banff Center for the Arts / Canada\
 , and the Transart Institute /New York. Dorothée holds a Ph.D. in Arts Ed
 ucation (Berlin University of the Arts)\, a MA in Media Arts (University 
 of Portsmouth\, GB)\, and a BA in Communication Design (Merz Akademie\, G
 ermany).  She is a certified Life Coach (DBCA Berlin/Zurich Switzerland)\
 , Playing Big Facilitator (with Tara Mohr\, San Francisco\, US)\, Meditat
 ion Teacher\, and qualified Yoga Teacher (Jivamukti Yoga New York\, Spiri
 t Yoga Berlin).\nGreg Stevens is principal of Purple Cow Career and Talen
 t Development\, with dozens of clients across sectors and career stages\,
  and over 500 professional coaching hours. Greg is committed to helping c
 olleagues rediscover their strengths and skills\, get unstuck\, and find 
 meaning in their professional lives\, recognizing that we can all benefit
  from guidance about getting started\, navigating workplace culture\, mov
 ing up or moving on\, and staying professionally engaged In addition to h
 is coaching work\, Greg is currently director of the Master of Arts in Mu
 seum Professions program at Seton Hall University. Previously\, from 2007
 -2017\, Greg directed the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Professional
  Development program\, through which he addressed career management\, lea
 dership development\, and professional skills-building for museum colleag
 ues. Prior to AAM\, Greg held positions at the National Museum of the U.S
 . Army\, Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums\, National Building Museum\,
  Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum\, and Kellogg Performing and V
 isual Arts School. Greg co-edited (with Wendy Luke) A Life in Museums: Ma
 naging Your Museum Career (2012\, The AAM Press)\, has written numerous a
 rticles and book chapters on career management and museum practice\, and 
 facilitates seminars and workshops on career and leadership topics. Greg 
 earned his M.A.T. in Museum Education from The George Washington Universi
 ty and his B.A. in Theatre from San Diego State University.\n*Registratio
