 conomy (W.A.G.E.) has agitated around the chronic problem of non-payment 
 in the art field while focusing strategically on the relationship between
  artists and nonprofit institutions. Co-founder & core organizer Lise Sos
 kolne will present on W.A.G.E.’s long standing campaign to standardize th
 e compensation of artists’ labor as well as its growing suite of calculat
 ion tools for art and cultural workers that merge publicly available gove
 rnment data with worker-driven payment standards.\nThis session will incl
 ude a participatory discussion with ARCS members via Zoom Meeting about h
 ow they can use W.A.G.E.’s tools to advocate not only for the value of ar
 tists’ labor\, but also for their own value in the preservation\, circula

 Lise Soskolne is an artist and core organizer of Working Artists and the 
 Greater Economy (W.A.G.E.)\, a New York-based activist organization found
 ed in 2008. W.A.G.E.’s mission is to establish sustainable economic relat
 ionships between artists and the institutions that contract their labor\,
  and to introduce mechanisms for self-regulation into the art field that 
 collectively bring about a more equitable distribution of its economy. Al
 ong with many others\, Lise is a co-founder of W.A.G.E. and has been its
