ARCS 2026 Emergency Workshop Series

Join in on Session 3 - February 23, 2026

In 2024, the "Focus on Conservation (FOC)" conference on "Disaster Risk Management for Cultural Heritage" explored preparation, response, training, and research to mitigate the effects of disasters on cultural heritage. This year ARCS is highlighting these emergency case studies from cultural institutions ranging in type, scope, and severity from the FOC conference.

During this workshop series, Registrars, Collection Specialists, and other Museum Professionals will be presented with an in-depth experience on collections emergency preparedness and response. Utilizing recordings from 2021-2023 Emergency Webinar Series presentations, registrants will receive the recordings and resource materials in advance of a 30-minute open discussion with the original speakers. These recordings are geared towards people who have some experience with collections emergencies, but all are welcome.

  • Webinar Three: Response February 23, 2026 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. ET
  • Webinar Four: Recovery March 9, 2026 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. ET
