Message from the President, New Resources, 2025 Conference Session Proposals, & Join a Committee! ARCS Update Vol 10 Issue 7

Staying Connected in Challenging Times
It's no secret that these are challenging times for many in the cultural heritage field. When times get uncertain, or tough, there's nothing that beats staying connected with a strong and supportive community. This has never been more true than now, and has never been more important to ARCS. ARCS is committed to providing all of you - our members - with meaningful ways to engage, to share knowledge, and support one another.
Whether you’re looking for resources, opportunities to grow, or simply a place to connect with peers, I wanted to remind everyone that ARCS offers a variety of tools to help. Our website, arcsinfo.org, features valuable information and resources to keep you informed and engaged. But one of the best ways to interact with fellow members is through the ARCS Forum - a dedicated space where you can ask questions, share insights, and collaborate with others who understand your job, your challenges, and your goals.
I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to stay involved and continue learning. Together, we can navigate these times with resilience, support, and kindness.
Chris Helms
President, ARCS Board of Directors
New Resources Available!
We are dedicated to sharing resources assembled by ARCS and professional groups to assist our membership in the best practices of registration and collections care. The AIC Board has recently endorsed the Bizot Green Protocol, which encourages cultural heritage professionals to incorporate and prioritize sustainable practices into all aspects of our work. More information on the AIC decision can be found (here (opens in a new window)) and details on the Bizot Group and what the protocol means can be found (here (opens in a new window)).
ARCS has resource kits and information available to all members. You can find those resources on the ARCS Resource Page.
