John Thomas Robinette III

John attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a degree in art history with a minor in business.  He spent 3 years at the Blanton Museum of Art as a researcher in the Latin American department as well as an art handler with the installation crew. He later spent time vagabonding around the world in a band whilst installing artwork in galleries and residences throughout New York. When he put down his drumsticks, he settled into a position at the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros in 2010. As the Manager of Storage and Installation, for 9 years he oversaw all storage facilities and locales where the collector maintained their collection and handled most of the logistics for their extensive international loan program. Since 2019, John has operated independently for museums, collectors, and foundations as well as co-hosts the monthly #ARCSchat.
